Anthony Jackson arrested by Forney Police Department

Anthony JacksonAnthony Jackson was booked into the Kaufman County Jail on November 17, 2017, at 11:25 a.m.  He was arrested by the Forney Police Department on a charge of theft of a firearm. Bond is set at $25,000. Jackson is described as a black male, date of birth January 13, 1993, with brown eyes and black hair, standing 6’ tall and weighing 150 pounds.

Jackson was arrested following a report of a theft of a firearm from a vehicle at Jackrabbit Quick Stop on November 16, 2017, at 9:07 pm. Based on information provided by the complainant and the clerk, Forney PD was able to quickly determine the identity of the suspect involved and later located him at a residence a couple of blocks away on Broad Street. The firearm was located and Jackson was arrested.

Jackson, who has been issued criminal trespass warnings from many downtown businesses, has several previous arrests and convictions in Kaufman County. On September 2, 2015, Jackson entered a plea of guilty to a charge of aggravated robbery stemming from an incident on August 6, 2013, at a local Forney downtown business. Prior to his plea of guilty, Jackson was committed for a psychiatric evaluation to determine his competency. He was sentenced to 2 years in prison in that case.

Jackson has also been convicted of burglary of a vehicle, assault family violence causing bodily injury, possession of marijuana under 2 ounces, twice for criminal trespass, and indecent exposure.
