Ashley Daryl Staples arrested by Forney Police Department

Ashley Daryl StaplesAshley Daryl Staples was booked into the Kaufman County Jail on March 20, 2018, at 2:00 p.m.  She was arrested by the Forney Police Department on a charge filed by Denton Police Department of forgery of a financial instrument. Bond has not yet been set. Staples is described as a white female, date of birth July 10, 1995, with brown eyes and red hair, standing 5’ 6” tall and weighing 114 pounds.

Staples was arrested near Heritage Hill Park on Monday, March 19, 2018, after an officer with the Forney Police Department recognized her as a wanted person.

Staples was previously arrested by Forney Police Department on May 22, 2016, for the offense of possession of a controlled substance in an amount of less than one gram.

On September 28, 2016, Staples was placed on 3 years deferred adjudication probation for that offense following her plea of guilty. She was also ordered to serve 120 hours of community service and pay a fine of $500.

On January 26, 2017, that case was adjudicated due to her failure to complete terms of probation and she was sentenced to 6 months confinement in state jail.

Staples was also arrested on January 14, 2016, by Garland Police Department on a felony charge of possession of a controlled substance. According to court records, her bond was forfeited on June 2, 2016, and a warrant holding her bond insufficient with no bond allowed was issued on July 12, 2016. It’s not clear why that warrant is not currently showing on her in jail.
