Armoni Broshard Carraway was booked into the Kaufman County Jail on November 29, 2017, at 11:25 a.m. He was arrested by the Forney Police Department on charges of evading arrest or detention with a vehicle or watercraft with previous conviction or serious bodily injury, bond set at $15,000 and unauthorized use of a vehicle, bond set at $7500. Carraway is described as a black male, date of birth November 9, 1999, with brown eyes and black hair, standing 5’ 9” tall and weighing 140 pounds.
Carraway was arrested on Tuesday November 28, 2017, after Forney PD attempted to conduct a traffic stop on the vehicle he was driving on eastbound 80. The vehicle failed to yield and exited on Windmill Farms Boulevard and proceeded back westbound at a high rate of speed. Carraway then went northbound on Pinson Road to FM 740 at speeds exceeding 80 miles per hour. He then cut through Criswell Elementary parking lot, struck a fixture, and eventually came to a stop on FM 740 at Redbud Drive. The car was later confirmed to be a stolen vehicle.
Carraway was just placed on probation September 14, 2017, in Kaufman County for the exact same two offenses (evading arrest and unauthorized use of a vehicle which were filed by Terrell PD) following his plea of guilty to those charges. Carraway was sentenced to 10 years probation, a fine of $1500, and ordered to perform 200 hours of community service in the evading arrest case and sentenced to 2 years probation and a fine of $1500 in the unauthorized use of a motor vehicle case. These cases stemmed from an incident on June 1, 2017.
Court records also show a pending charge of possession of marijuana under 2 ounces filed by Terrell PD from an incident on April 25, 2017.
