Travis Wade Morgan was booked into the Kaufman County Jail on September 12, 2014, at 12:26 p.m. He was arrested by the Kaufman County Sheriff’s Department and charged with: three counts of manufacture or delivery of a controlled substance in penalty group 1 in an amount of 4 grams or more but less than 200 grams, bonds set at $300,000 on each charge; three counts of manufacture or delivery of a controlled substance in penalty group 3/4 in an amount under 28 grams, bonds set at $15,000 in each case; and possession of marijuana in an amount of 2 ounces or less, bond set at $5000. Morgan is described as a white male, date of birth July 18, 1980, with brown eyes and brown hair, standing 6′ tall and weighing 320 pounds.

Morgan was previously convicted on September 1, 2010, for the offense of manufacture or delivery of a controlled substance in penalty group 1 in an amount of 4 grams or more but less than 200 grams and was sentenced to five years in prison. An undated statement from Kaufman County Sheriff’s Department in that case reads, as follows:

“Terrell, Texas – An undercover investigation by Kaufman County narcotics investigators and Mabank Police Department yielded the arrest of Travis Wade Morgan, age 29 of Terrell.

Travis Wade Morgan was arrested on February 20, 2010, and charged with Manufacture and Delivery of a Controlled Substance PG1> 4G<200G. The arrest took place in the parking lot of Rip Griffins Truck Stop located in Terrell. A Kaufman County K-9 unit was called to the scene, and an open air search was done around the vehicle. The K-9 alerted investigators to suspected drugs in the vehicle. After searching the vehicle, investigators found 42.7 grams of a crystal like substance that was believed to be methamphetamine, and $4035.00 in cash.

Mr. Morgan was taken into custody and transported to the Kaufman County Law Enforcement Center, where bond was set at $5000.00.”
