Christopher Graham Shapcott was booked into the Kaufman County Jail on September 9, 2015, at 4:40 p.m. He was arrested by the Forney Police Department on a charges of possession of a controlled substance in penalty group 1 in an amount of 1 gram or more but less than 4 grams, bond set at $20,000 and evading arrest or detention with previous conviction, bond set at $10,000. Shapcott is described as a white male, date of birth July 4, 1979, with brown eyes and brown hair, standing 5’ 7” tall and weighing 185 pounds.
Shapcott is currently on 3 years deferred adjudication probation in Kaufman County following his plea of guilty on May 20, 2015, to the felony offenses of possession of a controlled substance in an amount of less than 1 gram and evading arrest or detention with a vehicle.
On June 4, 2015, Shapcott entered a plea of guilty to the misdemeanor offenses of evading arrest or detention, and two separate charges of criminal trespass. He was sentenced to 90 days in jail in each case and was given credit for 96 days already served.
Since that time, and in addition to the two offenses for which he was arrested here, Shapcott also has an additional felony offense possession of a controlled substance in penalty group 1 under 1 gram pending as well as jp cases of evading arrest or detention and resisting arrest, search, or transport. Shapcott also has motions to revoke his probation pending in his other cases for which he is currently on probation.
Shapcott was arrested on the current charges after he attempted to flee from Forney PD on foot.
