It is important to note that confinement in a state jail facility following conviction of a state jail felony is usually served day-for-day with no good time. There are a few exceptions for participation in certain programs and education, but the percentage of a sentence served for a state jail felony is generally higher than the percentage of a sentence served for a regular prison time.
