Koby Chance Bennight arrested by Kaufman County Sheriff’s Department

Koby Chance BennightKoby Chance Bennight was booked into the Kaufman County Jail on October 12, 2014, at 10:09 p.m. He was arrested by the Kaufman County Sheriff’s Department and charged with probation revocation. Bond has not yet been set. Bennight is described as a white male, date of birth January 4, 1995, with green eyes and brown hair, standing 5’ 10” tall and weighing 150 pounds.

Bennight is currently on deferred adjudication probation for aggravated robbery, engaging in organized criminal activity, and theft $1500 – $20,000. Bennight entered pleas of guilty to all three charges on May 28, 2014, and was placed on 5 years deferred adjudication probation in all three cases, and also assessed a $1500 fine in the aggravated robbery case. Bennight was not assessed a fine in the other two cases but was ordered to pay $2839.85 in restitution. Community service of 200 hours was also ordered in all three cases.

Bennight’s guilt could now be adjudicated in all three cases and he may be sentenced to anything within the range of punishment in each case. In the aggravated robbery case, that could be 5 to 99 years or life in prison.

Bennight was also previously charged with dwi with a blood alcohol concentration of greater than 0.15% and assault causing bodily injury. He received 60 days in jail in those cases on May 28, 2014, which was credited to time served. On the same date, a possession of a dangerous drug case filed against Bennight was dismissed.
