Aaron Kyle Woodcock arrested by Forney Police Department

Aaron Kyle WoodcockAaron Kyle Woodcock was booked into the Kaufman County Jail on March 13, 2018, at 4:02 a.m.  He was arrested by the Forney Police Department on charges of: driving while intoxicated; evading arrest or detention with a vehicle; and resisting arrest, search, or transport. Bonds have not yet been set. Woodcock is described as a white male, date of birth July 8, 1981, with green eyes and brown hair, standing 6’ 2” tall and weighing 230 pounds.

Woodcock was arrested on March 12, 2018, following a long high-speed chase from Forney to Wills Point [also contains link to scanner audio of the incident]. During the chase, Woodcock’s rented vehicle hit spike strips and much of the chase was on at least one flat tire, then rims, and finally just an axle. Flames and smoke could be seen coming from the vehicle during the chase.

Some media reports indicated Woodcock may have been trying to commit suicide by cop.

Woodcock has a previous conviction in Dallas County for class “A” misdemeanor assault in September, 2007. He was sentenced to 90 days in jail but records indicate he was given credit for time served from November 16, 2006, to April 12, 2007.

In January, 2018, a civil protection order was entered against Woodcock, also in Dallas County.

Woodcock also has a pending theft over $100 in Dallas County which was filed in 2016 by Mesquite Police Department. That case shows to be next set for March 27, 2018.
