Wendell Dion Wofford was booked into the Kaufman County Jail on December 25, 2014, at 9:16 a.m. He was arrested by the Terrell Police Department and charged with: manufacture or delivery of a controlled substance in penalty group 1 in an amount of 4 grams or more but less than 200 grams, bond set at $500,000; possession of a controlled substance in penalty group 4 in an amount of 400 grams or more, bond set at $500,000; and possession of marijuana under 2 ounces, bond set at $5000. Wofford is described as a black male, date of birth September 25, 1992, with brown eyes and black hair, standing 5’ 11” tall and weighing 135 pounds.
Wofford was previously given probation in 2010 for possession of a controlled substance in penalty group 1 under 1 gram and two charges of theft $1500 – $20000. In 2012, that probation was revoked and he was sentenced to 6 months in state jail.
On August 27, 2014, Wofford was convicted of evading arrest or detention with a vehicle and was again given probation and is currently on probation in that case. On the same day, a possession of a controlled substance in penalty group 1 over 1 gram, less than 4 grams was dismissed.
