Amanda Michelle Lee was booked into the Kaufman County Jail on April 29, 2015, at 2:25 p.m. She was arrested by the Terrell Police Department and charged with unauthorized use of a vehicle. Bond is set at $5000. Lee is described as a white female, date of birth November 17, 1984, with brown eyes and red hair, standing 5′ 2″ tall and weighing 130 pounds.
Lee has previously been involved with stolen vehicles and was arrested with her brother Paul Lee and two others following the theft of a monster truck in Plano which eventually led to a De Soto police shooting and the recovery of other vehicles.
In the current case, Lee was arrested shortly after midnight on Tuesday, April 28, 2015. Terrell PD located a U-Haul truck which was stolen from Balch Springs stuck in the mud after it crashed through a gate at a Terrell lumberyard which had been burglarized. A search was conducted of the area but no suspects were located.
Terrell PD later located a unoccupied F250 pickup truck stolen from Ft. Worth near the entrance ramp to Spur 577. Lee was located hiding in the area of the stolen pickup truck which contained items connecting her to the vehicle. Lee is also being investigated regarding the burglary of the business.
