Brandon Cole Thompson arrested by Kaufman County Sheriff’s Department

Brandon Cole ThompsonBrandon Cole Thompson was booked into the Kaufman County Jail on July 21, 2015, at 10:40 p.m. He was arrested by the Kaufman County Sheriff’s Department on charges of aggravated robbery and evading arrest or detention. Bonds have not yet been set. Thompson is described as a white male, date of birth July 11, 1988, with blue eyes and brown hair, standing 5’ 8” tall and weighing 140 pounds.

Earlier in the day, five suspects were arrested following an almost five hour long manhunt in Terrell south of Interstate 20. The men are suspected of committing a home invasion in the area while wearing police tactical gear and identifying themselves as police officers.

Brandon Cole ThompsonThompson is no stranger to burglary of a habitation. In June, 2009, Thompson was placed on 10 years probation in Rockwall County for burglary of a habitation. There have been two prior motions to revoke that probation filed in April, 2014, and April, 2015, and both resulted in his continuance on probation.

In 2013, he burglarized a residence and stole weapons in Van Zandt County [pdf police release] only to have the homeowner confront him at his own residence in Greenville which resulted in a police incident at that location forcing the lockdown of some Greenville area schools.
