This is edited scanner audio from a house fire that occurred on Mustang Circle (located south of Interstate 20) in Forney, Texas. The fire was dispatched at 11:09 p.m. following a lightning strike at the residence. All residents and pets were safely evacuated and no injuries were reported.
The firefighters on scene experienced problems locating a hydrant which had sufficient pressure to resupply their tankers. As a result, mutual aid was requested from surrounding municipalities to provide additional water. At one point, a line was even run to pump water from the swimming pool.
The firefighters initially attempted an interior attack but had to evacuate due to the intensity of the fire and continue battling and controlling the fire from the exterior of the residence. The audio below spans a period from approximately 11:09 p.m. to 3:30 a.m. [12 min; 7mb]
