Charles Duane Woodward was booked into the Kaufman County Jail on April 26, 2016, at 3:32 p.m. He was arrested by the Kaufman County Sheriff’s Department on a charge of indecency with a child sexual contact. Bond is set at $250,000. Woodward is described as a white male, date of birth August 26, 1963, with blue eyes and brown hair, standing 5’ 10” tall and weighing 125 pounds.
Woodward was previously indicted in Kaufman County for the offense of indecency with a child sexual contact on March 18, 2013, for an offense alleged to have occurred on January 8, 2010. He was also indicted for the offense of aggravated sexual assault of a child on August 23, 2013, for an offense alleged to have occurred on October 24, 2010.
On April 16, 2013, Woodward was indicated for the offense of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon for an offense alleged to have occurred on July 30, 2011. Woodward entered a plea of guilty to that charge on July 2, 2014, and was place on 10 years deferred adjudication probation, assessed a fine of $1000, and ordered to perform 120 hours of community service.
On the same date, both the indecency with a child sexual contact case and the aggravated sexual assault of a child case were dismissed.
Woodward is currently on 10 years deferred adjudication probation in the aggravated assault case.
