On Tuesday, January 24, 2017, at approximately 9:15 pm, Dallas County Sheriff’s department and DPS 101 helicopter were in pursuit of a white pickup truck pulling a U-Haul trailer with no license plate. The chase continued eastbound on Interstate 20 from Mesquite and into Forney where Forney PD was dispatched to assist in the area of 741/1641.

The vehicle subsequently turned around and went back westbound on Interstate 20, back towards Mesquite where it continued through side streets. The audio below picks up DPS 101 transmissions as the chase is in the area of Elam and 635 before the vehicle crashed and rolled over near the parking lot of Home Depot.

Forney PD assisted with a motorist who was struck by the vehicle being chased near 741 and 20. The person subsequently ran by DSO who was driving the vehicle had a long list of felony convictions for theft, burglary, and other offenses out of Dallas County.
